POSITION SUMMARY
The Jefferson Bank Market President serves as the senior executive leader with full responsibility for the overall performance, growth, culture, and risk management of the bank. This role functions as the President of the local organization, accountable for financial results, customer experience, talent leadership, regulatory compliance, and community presence. The Market President partners closely with headquarter representatives and the Executive Committee, while maintaining strong local decision‑making authority.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provide overall strategic, operational, and financial leadership, ensuring alignment with headquarters goals and values.
Drive profitable growth through sound business development, relationship management, credit quality, and balance sheet performance.
Lead, develop, and hold accountable the market leadership team, fostering a high‑performance, customer‑focused culture.
Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional customer service across all lines of business and branch locations.
Partner with the Executive Committee to oversee risk management, credit administration, operational controls, and regulatory compliance for the market.
Serve as the primary representative of the bank in the community, strengthening brand presence and building key civic, business, and professional relationships.
Collaborate with headquarters partners and the Executive Committee to execute strategic initiatives, manage change, and implement bank‑wide programs.
Comply with all applicable banking regulations, including Bank Secrecy Act requirements and information security standards.
CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Proven executive leadership experience within a bank or financial services organization. Strong understanding of retail and/or commercial banking operations, credit, and financial performance management.
Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams, influence outcomes, and drive accountability.
Sound judgment with a disciplined approach to risk management and regulatory compliance.
Excellent communication, relationship‑building, and community engagement skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field, or significant senior-level leadership experience in banking or financial services; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has direct supervisory responsibility for market‑level senior leaders and indirect responsibility for all employees within the assigned market.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Ability to obtain and maintain any required banking licenses or registrations.
Willingness to travel within the assigned market and to headquarters locations as needed.
