Resident Assistant ON-CALL
About the role
Description
On-Call Resident Assistant
Company: Personal Care Senior Living
Locations: Andover, MN & Columbia Heights, MN (Hiring for both locations—choose the shifts that fit your schedule!)
Pay Rate: $20.00 / hour ($21.00 / hour for Certified CNAs)
Job Type: Part-Time / On-Call / Highly Flexible
Looking for a meaningful way to earn extra income without the burden of a rigid schedule? Personal Care Senior Living is seeking dependable, compassionate On-Call Resident Assistants to support our Andover and Columbia Heights communities.
You do not need to split your week between locations. Enjoy the ultimate flexibility to pick up shifts at the building closest to you, or work across both communities to maximize your hours! Whether you are balancing school, managing another job, or simply looking for rewarding work, this role allows you to make a true difference on your own terms.
Why Choose Personal Care Senior Living?
- Competitive Pay: Earn $20.00/hr, or $21.00/hr if you hold a current CNA certification.
- Relationships Over Numbers: Our smaller community sizes mean you will actually get to know the residents you care for.
- Customizable Routine: Perfect for students, side-hustlers, or anyone needing a flexible side income.
- Paid Training Provided: We value the right attitude and a heart for service over an extensive resume.
The On-Call Commitment
To keep our team consistent and our residents happy, we only ask for a simple minimum commitment:
- 4 shifts per month total.
- 2 of those shifts must be on weekends.
- No forced splitting: Work at Andover, Columbia Heights, or both—it is entirely up to you.
- Unlimited Upside: Pick up as many additional open shifts as you want!
What You Will Do
As a Resident Assistant, you will provide essential personal care and health-related services that help our residents remain safe, independent, and engaged.
- Daily Living Support: Assist with dressing, grooming, bathing, and mobility.
- Health & Wellness: Administer medications and reminders (after our nursing team trains you).
- Community Care: Help with mealtimes, light housekeeping, and personal laundry.
- Observation: Monitor residents for any changes in health and report them to the nursing staff.
- Social Engagement: Encourage residents to join in activities and enjoy community life.
Who We Are Looking For
- Dependable Caregivers: You show up when scheduled and take pride in your commitments.
- Empathetic Communicators: You are patient, respectful, and calm under pressure.
- Collaborative Teammates: You work seamlessly with nursing, culinary, and housekeeping staff.
Job Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent life/work experience.
- Experience: Prior experience with older adults, assisted living, or memory care is preferred.
- Certifications: Current CNA, NAR, or HHA certifications are a major plus (and come with higher starting pay!), but not required to apply.
