About the role

Primary Purpose
Solves system or process issues, implements minor configuration changes, and tracks performance metrics. Coordinates with partner teams to close recurring operational gaps.

Duties and Responsibilities

Conducts market and cost-benefit analyses to identify potential improvements in billing systems.
Facilitates ongoing communication between departments to integrate feedback into system planning and execution; acts as a liaison to translate technical system requirements into understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders.
Monitors and interprets regulations from rate-setting, taxing, and postal authorities; maintains an up-to-date repository of government regulations related to customer billing.
Evaluates system performance metrics to identify areas for enhancement.
Implement feedback mechanisms to capture user experience and issues related to system use.
Delivers training programs for users of the billing system to maximize their productivity.
Evaluates system vulnerabilities and implement security measures to protect sensitive customer data.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Education

Typically requires a 4 year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

Required Experience

Typically requires 2 years of related experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to explain standard system findings to billing or business partners.
Ability to manage multiple analysis tasks independently.
Ability to recognize when issues require deeper systems analysis or escalation.
Knowledge of billing system functionality, configurations, and dependencies.
Knowledge of common system issues affecting billing accuracy or timeliness.
Skill in analyzing routine billing system outputs to identify variances.
Skill in supporting system configuration or reporting changes using guidelines.
