About the role

About the Role

Join a product engineering team building AI-powered productivity and workflow automation software. You will turn emerging agent capabilities into reliable features that help people manage complex work and trust automated systems with real tasks.

What You'll Do

  • Evaluate advances in reasoning, planning, memory, tool use, and agent collaboration to identify useful product opportunities.

  • Translate promising model behaviors and user needs into reusable skills and dependable workflows.

  • Build and evolve Python agent systems, including execution loops, orchestration, context management, structured outputs, retries, and error recovery.

  • Design integrations with email, calendars, messaging platforms, browsers, documents, CRMs, and other business software.

  • Own capabilities across Python and Django services, APIs, React and TypeScript interfaces, data models, background jobs, observability, and production operations.

  • Improve latency, cost, reliability, and safety, using production traces and user feedback to diagnose and address issues.

  • Partner with evaluation and quality teams to define expected behavior and turn findings into engineering improvements.

  • Shape technical direction, build maintainable platform abstractions, and contribute to design reviews.

What We're Looking For

  • At least 5 years building and operating production software systems end to end.

  • Strong Python proficiency and hands-on experience with Django, APIs, React, and TypeScript.

  • Experience building agent systems, including planning, tool calling, state and context management, structured outputs, retries, and orchestration.

  • Experience designing external API integrations and reusable platform abstractions.

  • Strong product judgment, systems design, and debugging skills, including analysis across prompts, model outputs, application code, databases, and APIs.

  • Experience improving complex systems based on production signals, and comfort working with ambiguous requirements.

  • A degree in engineering or a related field, with strong technical fundamentals.

  • Evidence of startup-building experience or sustained career progression within an organization.

  • Experience with high-volume systems, workflow automation, language models, or production model evaluation is helpful.
