About the role
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This is a Small Craft Operator XF-5786-10 with the USACE Galveston District, Engineering and Construction Division, Hydro Survey Section located in Galveston, TX. *Recruitment/Relocation Incentive MAY BE Offered*
Perform repairs to government-owned small vessels.
Make independent judgments and decisions within the framework of oral or written instructions.
Use skills needed to operate vessels in swift or shallow water and under difficult weather conditions.
Operate government-owned vehicles to tow vessels over public roadways.
Follow safety rules and supervisor’s instructions on work sequence, procedures, method and deadlines to be met.
