About the role
This position assists with new client onboarding and ongoing client support in partnership with Private Banking Officers. Sr. Private Banking Associates provide customer service support for private banking clients and prospects, assist Private Banking Officers with maintenance of their existing portfolios, and support new business development efforts.

Responsibilities
- Customer Service Support
- Create and maintain standard and complex client profiles.
- Delegate customer service requests as needed to Private Banking Associate.
- Open and maintain standard and complex personal deposit accounts for new and existing clients.
- Work with the Commercial Relationship Support team to onboard and maintain commercial relationships when managed by one of the Private Banking Officers.
- Complete client requests for wire transfers and teller line transactions.
- Correspond with clients through in person meetings, emails, phone calls, USPS, and UPS to provide customer service and problem resolution.
- Act as the point person for fielding client issues to work toward a quick resolution.
- Act as a liaison with other departments of the bank to problem solve for private banking client issues.
- Manage specific projects for the private banking department including ordering and organizing thank you gifts and holiday presents.
- Portfolio Maintenance
- Monitor, analyze, and manage reports for maturing CDs, past due loans, overdrafts, and technical exceptions for deposit and loan accounts.
- Manage the correspondence with new prospects and existing clients to obtain necessary information to complete loan applications/underwriting as needed.
- Correspond with clients through in person meetings, emails, phone calls, USPS, and UPS to obtain required reporting information and housekeeping items.
- Act as a liaison with other departments of the bank to help maintain existing Private Banking Officer portfolios.
- Submit loan applications and renewals for new and existing consumer loan relationships as needed.
- Communicate with the underwriting team regarding loan applications as needed.
- Organize documents for closings and process executed documents to ensure they have been entered into the system and retained electronically as needed.
- Schedule and complete loan closings as delegated or in partnership with Private Banking Officers for new and existing clients.
- Manage quarterly monitoring for investment/cash value life insurance secured loans.
- New Business Efforts
- Assist Private Banking Officers to help identify and engage prospects, including accuracy within the Customer Relationship Management System.
- Attend prospect meetings as delegated or in partnership with Private Banking Officers as a deposit account and lending expert.
- Follow up with and/or onboard new prospects as directed by Private Banking Officers.
- Act as a liaison with other departments of the bank to engage prospects with appropriate banking services.

Education, Experience, and Other Expectations
- Associate’s Degree in business, finance, or similar field; or equivalent experience.
- 2-4 years of experience as a private banking associate or related banking experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Fluency with nCINO, Salesforce, Aperio, Signature UI, WireXchange, and DocuSign preferred.
- Exhibit a working knowledge of the rules, regulations and internal policies and practices relating to consumer loan underwriting and documentation.
- Ability to be flexible and adapt well to change.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and have excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
