Shipping Team Leader

Job Summary:

Shipping is responsible for preparing, packaging, and shipping finished products to assembly plants and customers. The Team Leader supports the efficient operation of the department by coordinating daily tasks, ensuring production goals are met, and assisting team members with troubleshooting and problem-solving. The Team Leader acts as a key point of contact for the team, promoting safety, quality, and productivity within the department.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and prioritize daily tasks, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to production schedules.
• Act as a resource for team members, providing guidance on equipment operations, material handling, and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of work areas, including material storage and equipment.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to report progress, resolve concerns, and update on any production issues.
• Assist with training new team members on equipment operation, material handling, and safety practices.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process improvements and identifying areas for greater efficiency.
• Provide input on production data and performance metrics to support overall team and department goals.
• Support company values and continuous improvement efforts by performing additional tasks as assigned by management.
