Lead Firefighter (Basic Life Support / Hazardous Materials Technician)

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Leads firefighters during fire suppression, rescue, hazardous material, and emergency response operations.

Conducts firefighting training, practice drills, and instruction on firefighting and rescue procedures.

Lead demonstrations and lectures to instruct crew members concerning firefighting techniques, and fire protection and prevention methods.

Directs fire apparatus operations and oversees crew activities during emergencies and station duties
