Health Technician (Audiology/Office Automation)

About the Position: This position is located at the Naval Hospital Pensacola, Dir of Surgery. Work is conducted in an office setting with hours from 0700 to 1530, Monday - Friday. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation utilizing DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) &Major Range & Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in DoD

Fit hearing protection and instruct patient in hearing conservation techniques.

Review records to determine type of test required.

Make earmold impressions for hearing aids, specialized earmolds and custom hearing protection.

Determine if a significant threshold shift (STS) has occurred in hearing or if hearing loss exists.

Provide health education classes/briefings in hearing conservation and the proper fitting of hearing protection devices for military and civilian noise exposed personnel.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
