About the role

Primary Purpose
Provides operational oversight for assigned fleet activities, ensuring timely servicing and optimal vehicle availability. Enhances efficiency by analyzing usage patterns and recommending improvements aligned with organizational standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

Ensures the operational performance of the vehicle fleet across multiple sites or business units.
Reviews inspection and maintenance reports to ensure timely servicing and repairs, maintaining compliance with safety, regulatory, and operational standards.
Collaborates with Procurement to support vehicle acquisition, specification alignment, and long-term utilization planning.
Identifies and implements opportunities to enhance fleet efficiency, minimize downtime, and optimize the use of resources.
Serves as a point of guidance for junior team members, promoting best practices and ensuring accurate, audit-ready recordkeeping in line with regulatory requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

Required: Typically requires a 4 year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

Experience

Required: Typically requires 5 years of related experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Required: Ability to assess operational impacts of downtime or utilization changes.
Required: Ability to independently resolve non-routine fleet or vehicle availability issues.
Required: Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
Required: In-depth knowledge of fleet operations, maintenance programs, and compliance obligations.
Required: Knowledge of fleet safety, risk management, and incident reporting concepts.
Required: Skill in communicating complex fleet issues to stakeholders.
Required: Skill in interpreting maintenance data and recommending corrective actions.
