Shift: 7:00am - 7:00pm (3 shifts per week)
- Participates in peer interviewing and review processes. Considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice in the delivery of nursing services.
- Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health and unit-specific data for process improvement initiatives.
- Conducts initial patient assessments within expected timeframes, initiates consults as indicated, and identifies patient/family teaching and discharge planning needs.
- Maintains safe practices by demonstrating unit-specific clinical competency and compliance with all regulatory standards. Ensures safe and effective handoff communications and documentation between caregivers.
- Communicates courteously with internal and external customers in person or on the telephone.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient clinical critical care skills and critical thinking skills with strong communication skills required.
- Basic computer skills and commitment to hourly patient rounding required.
- Previous EKG Interpretation Class preferred.
- Must possess frequent independent judgment and the ability to handle clinical situations requiring sound professional judgment and critical-thinking skills, including clinical assessment, data analysis, and patient response.
- Responsible for providing quality patient care and continuously prioritizing multiple duties.
Education:
- Associate's of Nursing [Required]
- Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
Work Experience: - 1+ years acute care experience Preferred
Licenses and Certifications: - Registered Nurse (RN) Required
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) Required

Pay Range:
