Who You Are

The Lead CNC Express Technician will be responsible for CNC Express Systems Configuration and Verification, Install and remove hardware, software, and options on new CNC controls purchased by customers. Archive data, including the original and present configuration of the CNC controls with purchased options. Troubleshoot, Diagnose, and Repair Warehouse Material Handling Equipment both the Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS) and the Vertical Lift Module (VLM).

 

What You'll Do

  • CNC Express Systems Configuration and Verification:
  • Verify software that is in the CNC control to the released job. Install latest version of software and additional software as required
  • Modify CNC control hardware per released job prior to ordering customer options. Recertification of the CNC control is required when the FROM/SRAM hardware is replaced
  • Order customer options from the FANUC remote options site after hardware and software is updated
  • Order temporary options from FANUC remote options site for various types of controls to spin motors
  • Install temporary option file, PMC (Ladder), Parameter set (Motor Codes), and Parts Program to Spin Motors
  • Remove PMC (Ladder), Parameter Set (Motor Codes), Parts Program and Temporary Options
  • Change parameters per released jobs and install customer options
  • Save files from the CNC control
  • Create board sheet and customer options sheet for documentation
  • Cloning hard drives with Microsoft Windows for Panel I

Service Technician - Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS) and the Vertical Lift Module (VLM).

  • Diagnoses and tests malfunctioning warehouse equipment (ASRS/VLM).  May replace faulty electrical, mechanical, or other components of warehouse equipment when required
  • Work with outside service technicians when needed to help resolve maintenance issues
  • Perform repairs on Warehouse Equipment (ASRS/VLM), once the repair is deemed capable of being performed internally

What You Need

  • Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Electronics or equivalent relevant experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with FANUC CNC Controls
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Electronics Industry
  • Software upgrades and installations
  • Ordering of FANUC options and installation
  • Document control
  • Saving files from the CNC control for archiving
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, electrical schematics and ladder diagrams.
  • Electronic troubleshooting including, but not limited to: Relays, switches, proximity switches, contactors, motor starters, 3-phase electric motors etc.

What Would Be Even Better

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Electronics or equivalent relevant experience
  • 6 or more years of experience working with FANUC CNC Controls
  • 6 or more years of experience in Electronics Industry
  • Proficiency with Oracle ERP and related business applications

The pay range listed is based on both salary and other compensation, including bonuses and profit sharing, that an employee may be paid during their employment with FANUC America.
