Primary Purpose
Manages a plant section, aligns people, budgets, and maintenance plans, and drives cross‑functional initiatives that improve reliability and customer impact.

Duties and Responsibilities

Manages a plant area or related sections and aligns people, budget, and maintenance plans to deliver results.
Owns area key performance indicators and improvement programs for reliability and cost.
Approves procedures, staffing plans, and qualifications for area operations.
Leads outage planning and execution for the area, coordinating scope, schedule, and risk.
Manages contractor performance, safety, and contract deliverables.
Prepares and manages operating and capital budgets for the area.
Ensures environmental and safety reporting is timely and accurate.
Partners with system or market operations on availability commitments.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

Required: Typically requires a 4 year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

Experience

Required: Typically requires 8 years of related experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Required: Ability to manage budgets, labor costs, and operational resources.
Required: Ability to resolve complex operational and organizational challenges.
Required: Knowledge of plant operations, support functions, and performance indicators.
Required: Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements affecting plant operations.
Required: Skill in influencing cross-functional partners to achieve plant goals.
Required: Skill in leading managers or supervisors and developing talent.
Required: Skill in translating plant objectives into operational plans.
