About the role

RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Directly trains and coordinates the activities of technicians in the assigned area following all product specifications and company policies 
  • Follows up and reinforces food safety and product quality information provided to new employees in orientation 
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the requirements of assigned line/department and competently demonstrates the skills required for each assigned department 
  • Adheres to all workplace and food safety policies and procedures outlined by the company and required by federal, state, and local laws 
  • Evaluate trainee progress and maintain records of trainee’s progress and achievements 
  • Communicates and collaborates with all levels of management within the organization 
  • Communicates effectively with all employees and provides direction, instructions, and feedback based on the experience level of the employee 
  • Develops content, as necessary, for new product specifications 
  • Follows up and provides appropriate feedback and recognition based on level of performance

QUALIFICATIONS 

Required: The details listed below are the required knowledge, skills, and/or abilities to perform this role.  Reasonable accommodation(s) may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions of this job.  

  • Additional essential duties and responsibilities may be assigned.  

Required: 

  • Associate’s degree in engineering or science-related field or two years experience in a food manufacturing facility 
  • Experience in manufacturing and food service industry. 
  • Intermediate in Microsoft Office; Word and Excel  
  • Proficient in English, writing, reading, and speaking. 

Preferred: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field. 
  • Production knife skills, including wizard knife. 
  • Good critical thinking and judgment skills to reach the best possible solution to a problem.
