About the role

Primary Purpose
Designs enhancements to supplier engagement and measurement, solving complex inclusion challenges and building consensus across procurement, operations, and project teams.

Duties and Responsibilities

Identifies and evaluates potential vendors through research, capability assessments, and alignment with purchasing needs.
Collaborates with internal teams to set program goals and implement plans to engage a broad range of businesses.
Builds and maintains strong relationships with colleagues, community organizations, and certification groups to support program objectives.
Monitors changes in regulations and industry standards to ensure the program remains compliant and up to date.
Incorporates principles of inclusion and environmental responsibility into vendor selection and sourcing practices.
Improves program operations by assessing and adopting modern digital tools and technologies.
Builds concise dashboards and management briefings that translate measures into actionable insights.
Analyzes spend, pipeline, and participation trends to identify root causes of under‑utilization by trade, region, or project type and recommends fixes.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

Required: Typically requires a 4 year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

Experience

Required: Typically requires 5 years of related experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Required: Ability to assess supplier diversity data to identify trends and gaps.
Required: Ability to evaluate program effectiveness and recommend incremental improvements.
Required: Ability to lead defined supplier diversity initiatives or projects.
Required: Knowledge of regulatory or contractual obligations related to supplier diversity.
Required: Knowledge of supplier diversity best practices and performance measurement approaches.
Required: Skill in influencing internal partners using data-based insights.
Required: Skill in supporting sourcing strategies that increase diverse supplier participation.
