Engineering Co-op - 2027

Position Summary:

At Conair, we believe in the power of testing to drive innovation and ensure the highest quality products for our customers.  As a Conair Co-op in our Engineering Department, you will play a vital role in shaping the reliability and performance of our products.  Working closely with our engineers and management team, you will contribute to the development and execution of rigorous testing procedures.  This opportunity offers hands-on experience in designing and building electro-mechanical test fixtures, crafting new engineering protocols, and analyzing data to drive product improvements.  Join us in exploring the exciting world of consumer product testing and make a meaningful impact on our future offerings.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with engineers and management to develop and execute tests to enhance product quality.
• Design and construct electro-mechanical automated test fixtures to evaluate product performance and reliability.
• Innovate and create new testing protocols to address evolving product needs.
• Conduct thorough data analysis using statistical tools to identify patterns and trends.
• Document test results and provide insights for future enhancements.
• Assist in the teardown and analysis of Conair and competitor products.

Qualifications:

• Possess an inquisitive mindset with a passion for building and tinkering.
• Working knowledge of 3D design software (Solid Works and Creo/Pro E preferred) and
• Microsoft Office (spreadsheets, documents, etc.).
• Completed 2+ years in a Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering program with a GPA of 3.0 or higher (out of 4.0).
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new lab equipment and technologies.
• Ability to commit to full-time work from January 11, 2027 - June 18, 2027.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to translate abstract concepts into actionable plans.  Comfortable challenging conventional thinking and expressing alternative viewpoints.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.

• Close to NY City by train. 
• Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time.
