About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Component & Sub-System integration Engineer to perform the integration activities for North American programs. This role is pivotal in ensuring software quality and system readiness by coordinating with global software development teams, validation teams, and suppliers.
- Establish Clear Validation Roadmaps
- Collaborate with subsystem and component validation teams to define validation roadmaps aligned with software drops and key project milestones.
- Coordinate Across Sub-System/Component and Software Development Teams
- Act as a liaison between global in-house software teams and external suppliers. Understand the content of software drops and align regression loops with validation teams based on issue fixes, feature changes, and other updates.
- Maintain the end to end software system pipeline
- Automate test scenarios using CANoe and CAPL Scripting
- Evaluate DVP&R documentation and test results with validation teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage and alignment with validation objectives.
- Identify Challenges and Drive Improvements
- Continuously assess challenges within validation teams. Propose and implement improvement actions—including automation techniques—to enhance execution efficiency, quality, and resource utilization. Drive improvements in diagnostics, IOD, and safety test coverage.
- Communicate Risks and Mitigation Plans
- Clearly communicate validation-related risks and timing concerns to leadership, along with mitigation strategies.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on validation experience, encompassing both manual and automated testing methodologies across software and system-level platforms. Proven ability to design, execute, and optimize validation strategies that ensure robust coverage and alignment with project milestones.
- Leadership:
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and facilitate root cause analysis.
- Experience chairing technical operations meetings and managing validation agendas.
- Strategic Thinking:
- Ability to align validation loops with SW drops and regression cycles.
- Experience in communicating risks and mitigation plans to leadership.
- Process Improvement:
- Familiarity with automation techniques to improve validation efficiency.
- Experience implementing lessons learned and corrective actions.
- Global Coordination:
- Ability to act as a liaison between in-house development teams and external suppliers.
- Experience managing validation readiness across multiple regions and programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field
