About the role
Summary/Objective - To perform warehouse operations, MUST have prior Stand-up and Sit-down Forklift experience and valid Driver’s License. Incumbent to be efficient in handling materials, monitoring and supplying material for production needs.
Essential Functions
Demonstrates the behaviors of punctuality, regular attendance, professionalism towards supervisors and co-workers, and self-directs task completion. Has an understanding and recognizes the requirements of servicing the operation during extended hours in this role.
- Studies shipping notices, bill of ladings, invoices, orders, written instructions, schedules and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules.
- Accepts and acts on verbal instructions.
- Prepares bills of ladings, shipping documents and issues written and oral instructions.
- Accurately calculates figures and amounts. Compiles records of unfilled orders. Posts weight and shipping charges.
- Inspect loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications, and seals loaded truck doors.
- Inspects Company trucks, vans and material handling equipment for defects and requests repair as needed and maintains maintenance reports. Safely operates the same.
- Communicates with Customer Service, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Finance Departments as needed to maintain plant operations.
- Directs movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platforms to storage and work areas. Determines space requirements and position of shipment for carriers.
- Must achieve Equipment certifications and licenses (Forklift/Cherry Picker) that are required to fulfill job functions.
- Must comply with all departmental SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures), company GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices), Employee Handbook Policies, including attendance and all safety rules and standards.
- Practice good housekeeping.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Education/Experience
- High school diploma and/or equivalent.
- Standup and/or Sit-down Forklift required.
- Computer knowledge is required.
- Valid Driver’s License
Preferred Education and Experience
- 2 yrs. + experience in inventory management and warehouse.
- Box Truck (26 foot non-DOT)
