FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Competitive Service Positions to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: The incumbent will serve as a Financial Management Analyst at USSOUTHCOM Resources and Analysis Directorate - Financial Management and Comptroller Division in Miami, FL.

Administer accounting systems for managing funds and the adaptation of current or proposed systems and processes.

Monitor control of funds to ensure the proper accounting treatment of financial transactions.

Serve as an organizational financial expert for Enterprise systems such as Defense Agency Initiative (DAI), General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS), and the Defense Travel System (DTS).

Recommend how to reallocate resources to improve productivity within assigned resources.

Provide guidance to management regarding how to use funds in a more cost effective manner in support of their goals.

Integrate analytical activities related to cost management.
