We're looking for a mechanically inclined Shop Technician to join our service team! In this hands-on role, you'll inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain material handling equipment in our shop. If you enjoy solving mechanical problems, working with your hands, and learning new technologies, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fuel system issues.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance according to company standards.
- Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
- Prepare accurate repair documentation and service records.
- Maintain shop inventory of parts and supplies.
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all company safety policies and properly dispose of hazardous materials.
- Deliver a professional level of service that reflects positively on ToyotaLift Northeast.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in mechanical, electrical, automotive, diesel, heavy equipment, material handling, or related repair fields
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Valid driver's license
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move up to 70 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in a shop environment for extended periods
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers
- Close vision and the ability to adjust focus while performing detailed mechanical work
