Position Overview
The Senior Director of Home Health & Hospice serves as a strategic leader and trusted resource for Vetter Senior Living's Home Health and Hospice operations. This individual will work closely with agency leadership teams to provide operational guidance, regulatory oversight, and support for quality initiatives while fostering strong relationships throughout the organization.
This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with extensive Home Health and Hospice experience, proven multi-site leadership capabilities, and a genuine commitment to serving others through compassionate healthcare.
Primary Responsibilities
- Partner with agency leaders to promote excellence in Home Health and Hospice services.
- Lead with Vetter Senior Living's Mission, Vision, and Values in all interactions and decision-making.
- Provide operational support, consultation, education, and resources to multiple agencies.
- Monitor and promote compliance with federal, state, and industry regulations.
- Support the achievement of quality outcomes and performance goals across all locations.
- Serve as a mentor and coach to agency administrators, managers, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Foster a culture of professionalism, respect, collaboration, and accountability.
- Identify opportunities for service enhancement, process improvement, and operational efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with internal departments to ensure successful coordination and support.
- Guide strategic growth initiatives, including agency expansion into new and emerging markets.
- Maintain high standards of safety, ethics, stewardship, and customer service.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Home Health and Hospice leadership, including Administrator or regional-level operational roles.
- Comprehensive understanding of Home Health and Hospice regulations, accreditation standards, and operational best practices.
- Demonstrated success overseeing multiple locations while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, training, and leadership skills.
- Strong organizational abilities with experience managing multiple priorities and projects.
- Proven problem-solving skills and sound professional judgment.
- High level of integrity, compassion, and commitment to service excellence.
- Ability to travel between supported locations and perform extended computer-based work, along with occasional lifting and physical activity as required.
