Welder

Job Overview:

A Welder for Bastian Automation will be responsible for general welding/fitting producing weldments for material equipment projects. The main emphasis for this position is welding/fitting, other duties to include fabrication, assembly and painting of projects as well as general repair and maintenance of Bastian Solutions shop equipment. A Welder will be responsible for maintaining tolerances and dimensions specified by individual print. A Welder I will typically have 1-2 years of experience in the welding/fitting field.

Shift:

• 1st Shift: Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  
  

Job Functions:

·        With guidance ability to build high quality welded parts from blueprints with low rejection rate. **Must maintain tolerances detailed on blueprints.

·        With guidance works from sketches/drawings to produce parts from sheet metal, plate, bar stock, and aluminum.

·        Keep work space in a neat and organized order

·        Show mutual respect for coworkers

·        Show up to work every day on time

·        Maintain a positive attitude

·        Overtime required when necessary

·        Follow safety protocols per JSA (Job Safety Analysis)

Travel Requirements:

• No travel Is required for this position.

Required Qualifications and Preferred Skills:

• Relevant welding experience required.
• Positive attitude, able to handle tense situations that arise
• Team player, able to take direction
• General knowledge of fabrication equipment including horizontal saws, lathes, mills, & drill presses
• Onsite weld test given prior to employment to establish skill set.
• Must be eligible to work in the USA long term without sponsorship.
• Employees must follow all information security policies, protect confidential data, complete required training, and report any suspected security incidents to support our information security controls.
