ATI Specialty Alloys & Components (SA&C) is seeking a Business Systems Analyst – Master Data for our Millersburg, Oregon facility to support the accuracy, consistency, and governance of business system data used across Supply Chain and Operations. As part of the Supply Chain team, this role is responsible for maintaining critical item and planning master data and ensuring system information is complete, accurate, and aligned with established business standards.

This position plays an important role in protecting the integrity of our ERP system (Oracle). The Business Systems Analyst – Master Data manages item data lifecycle activities, processes system workflow requests, performs recurring data audits, and identifies and resolves data discrepancies before they impact planning, sourcing, inventory, or operational execution.

This role provides an opportunity to develop knowledge of ATI's business processes, Oracle systems, master data governance, and supply chain planning practices, with the potential to grow into broader Business Systems Analyst responsibilities over time.

  • Continuous improvement mindset focused on reducing errors, simplifying processes, and improving data quality.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities:

Item Master & Management

  • Manage item/SKU data lifecycle activities, including creation, reactivation, inactivation, and changes to existing items.
  • Process and prioritize item-related workflow requests in accordance with established procedures and service expectations.
  • Validate required information and approvals before creating or modifying system records.
  • Apply established item definitions, naming conventions, classifications, and data standards.
  • Maintain and validate planning attributes, including sourcing and shortage rules.
  • Coordinate incomplete or inconsistent requests with functional owners and communicate required actions.
  • Maintain documentation and traceability of item master changes.

Data Governance & Auditing

  • Perform scheduled audits to identify master-data errors, inconsistencies, and missing information.
  • Manage conflict material audits and coordinate resolution of identified exceptions.
  • Perform Prim/AV management and recurring audits to maintain system accuracy.
  • Investigate identified data discrepancies and work with appropriate functional owners to correct errors.
  • Track open data issues through resolution and escalate unresolved or recurring issues when appropriate.
  • Support development and maintenance of standard definitions, procedures, checklists, and audit controls.
  • Identify recurring data issues and recommend opportunities to prevent errors at the source.

Master Data Performance & Controls

  • Monitor and report master-data performance, including request volume, turnaround time, aged requests, and first-pass accuracy.
  • Identify performance trends and escalate recurring or systemic issues that could impact business execution.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify or automate recurring audits and transactional processes.

Workflow & Process Management

  • Monitor incoming system and master-data requests and prioritize work based on business requirements and established service expectations.
  • Ensure requests contain required information and approvals before processing.
  • Communicate request status, missing information, and required actions to requestors.
  • Maintain documentation supporting system changes and data governance requirements.
  • Support development of standardized workflows that improve consistency, accuracy, and efficiency.

System & Business Support

  • Develop working knowledge of Oracle and other systems used to manage item and planning data.
  • Assist with researching data and system issues, escalating those requiring broader technical or planning expertise.
  • Support testing and validation of system or process changes affecting assigned master data.
  • Provide guidance to users on item master requirements, data standards, and established processes.

  • Basic Qualifications

    • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field, OR equivalent combination of education and relevant skills
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the ability to organize, validate, and analyze data.
    • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and learn business processes, systems, and data governance practices.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Educational background or coursework in supply chain, business systems, data analytics, information systems, manufacturing, or a related discipline.
    • Exposure to manufacturing, supply chain, inventory, purchasing, or planning concepts.
    • Familiarity with ERP systems, Power BI, OBI, or similar business systems and analytical tools.
