Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Information Technology, or A combination of education, training, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- A minimum of 8 years experience as a member of an Agile software development team
- A minimum of 8 years experience working directly with business stakeholders
- Knowledge of SAFe agile development principles
- Business analysis skills
- Ability to create gap analyses
- Ability to create user story maps
- Up to 5% of the time Domestic Travel only
Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of the salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $124,400 to $155,500 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that are not included in the base pay.

Job Summary
The Lead Product Owner plays a key role within the agile development process and is responsible for translating the strategic vision and product priorities outlined by Product Management into actionable tasks and features that our development teams can execute against. Acting as a bridge between Product Managers, Stakeholders and one or more Development teams, the Product Owner plays a crucial role in defining, prioritizing, and managing the product backlog and the development roadmap for the products or applications for which they are responsible. A Lead Product Owner takes these abilities to the next level by owning multiple, interrelated applications - also known as a Portfolio - or an application platform that serves multiple stakeholders and may even exist within distinct and disparate technologies.
The Lead Product Owner must be capable of managing the Portfolio or Platform product roadmap within an interrelated, multi-faceted strategy, while ensuring that each application or element of the portfolio is considered. The Lead Product Owner is the subject matter expert and leader for their assigned Platform or Product Portfolio.

Job Responsibilities
- Strategically manages complex and independent but related product roadmaps, with care to ensure strategic alignment with the Platform or product Portfolio as a whole
- Maintains a continuously updated and iterative Product Roadmap for their given Platform or Portfolio of applications based on continuously evolving requirements received from Product Management as well as our Business and IT Stakeholders
- Partners with both Product Managers and development teams to effectively plan Program Increments, often with separate development teams, continually balancing the strategic needs of the product and development team capacity
- Continuously organizes and manages agile development sprints, writing effective and efficient stories that bring clear development work to our IT Delivery partners and ensure our ability to consistently execute on behalf of our business and IT stakeholders alike
- Identifies and recommends improvements to the software development lifecycle and best practices in agile engineering specific to their Platform or Product Portfolio
- Shapes and employs technology thought leadership specific to the Platform or Product Portfolio to ensure business continuity, innovative design, process improvement, and overall advancement of the Platform or Portfolio health
- Inspires lasting relationships with Team Members, Leaders, and Customers; building trust through proven results and added value.
