MEDICAL TECHNICIAN (CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT)

About the Position: This position is located at Army Health Clinic Presidio, Directorate of Branch Clinics, Army Health Clinic, Monterey, CA. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service

Complete screening of patients for Privilege Providers to include recording chief complaint, blood pressure, pulse, respirations, temperature, height, weight, electrocardiograms (EKGs), and other moderately complex tests.

Follow standing orders for dose adjustment of immunization in accordance with Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), Center for Disease Control (CDC), and other applicable guidelines.

Instruct patients and families on various subjects, such as the proper procedure or following receipt of immunization in accordance with established protocols.

Receive telephone calls, patients, and visitors to the medical facility to determine the nature of the call or visit.

Explain all instructions and/or any diagnostic preparation related to the treatment plan.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
