The Supervisory Social Worker is responsible for supervising and assisting in planning, development, and implementation of policies and procedures. This role involves establishing individual and group goals and objectives, as well as monitoring, evaluating, and managing the clinical and administrative operations within their assigned program. These positions provide support to the National Center for Warrior Independence at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System in Los Angeles, California.
VA Careers - Social Work: https://youtube.com/embed/enRhz_ua_UU Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional Supervisory Social Workers at the GS-13 grade level are responsible for overseeing both professional and non-professional staff at the GS-12 grade level and below within a clinical program that delivers specialized treatment services to Veterans in a major area of Social Work practice. This announcement will fill Supervisory Social Work vacancies in the Housing and Urban Development-VA Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) program and the Behavioral Emergency Response Team within Community Reengagement Reintegration Service. Both positions are located at the Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System in Los Angeles, California. Key job duties include, but are not limited to: Provides professional and administrative management of the assigned program. Provides clinical supervision for unlicensed Social Workers. May provide direct clinical psychosocial and case management services, as needed. Provides orientation and on-going training to subordinate staff. Monitors compliance with documentation guidelines, workload standards, data entry protocols, ethical practices, and service delivery requirements. Responsible for data collection, administrative record keeping, and monitoring patient or program clinical indicators, thresholds, and performance measurements. Ensures collaboration with community partners across Greater Los Angeles, as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Compressed/Flexible: May be available based on the needs of the service. Recruitment/Relocation Incentive: May be approved for highly qualified applicants. Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year) Parental Leave: After 12 months of employment, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave in connection with the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child. Child Care Subsidy: After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66.
