Who You Are

 

The Supervisor – ROBODRILL Support will be responsible for managing the support of Robodrill products, with the cooperation and assistance from other departments, and provide customer support of FANUC products, engineers and training.  Assure achievement of goals and objectives through effective management of communicating goals and objectives to team members.

 

What You’ll Do

 

Provide technical support and guidance to Field Service Engineers by:

  • Acting as consultant to Field Service Engineers for technical problems
  • Communicating daily technical issue status to the Region Manager and/ or Engineering Support Team
  • Distributing and communicating technical information to Field Service Engineers, assuring understanding by each person
  • Ensure all employees have proper access to their necessary support resources

Support FANUC America Corporation customers by:

  • Providing technical phone support as needed/required
  • Promoting field services to increase customer satisfaction
  • Improve customer relationships with machine tool builders, dealers and end users by consistent contact and communication

Manage assigned Field Service Engineers and Service Center staff in the areas of:

  • Scheduling daily work assignments
  • Reviewing and assuring accurate and timely submission of required paperwork, including but not limited to travel, expense and service reports for your team member/members
  • Setting appropriate expectations for employee development and facilitating learning opportunities
  • Training of new & existing team members on Robodrill and Fanuc related products

Support the fulfilling daily tasks as needed:

  • Packing and shipping of service parts/equipment for Field Service Engineers as needed/required
  • Special projects and reporting as needed
  • Provide monthly data reports on activity and business

What You Need

  • Associate’s technical preferred, with a minimum of three years in a field service role, including a minimum five years of service with FANUC America Corporation
  • Working knowledge of FANUC products, systems, and related applications
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in machine maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply information from electrical, mechanical, and schematic drawings
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
  • Familiarity with picking, packing and shipping materials
  • Demonstrated ability to follow processes, verify quantities and part numbers, and maintain inventory accuracy
  • Lift, carry, or move objects weighing up to 75 pounds
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems
  • Must have or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to drive throughout the organization’s service area for business as required

What Would be Even Better

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field with a minimum of four years in a field service role, including a minimum six years of service with FANUC America Corporation
  • General business management experience preferred, including the ability to support operational objectives, resource planning, and team performance
  • Demonstrated leadership, supervisory, and personnel management skills, with the ability to coach, develop, and motivate employees
  • Knowledge of electronic technology principles, components, and diagnostic techniques
