Physician (Family Medicine)

About the Position: This position is located at WINN Military Hospital, Fort Stewart, GA. This is an open continuous announcement. We accept applications on an ongoing basis. Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Provide comprehensive outpatient care to beneficiaries ranging from newborn to geriatric age presenting with complex and interdependent acute and chronic conditions.

Provide pre- and post-deployment health assessments and preventive health assessments (PHA).

Manage medical conditions pertaining to the Personnel Reliability Program (PRP), security clearances, overseas clearances, pre-confinement evaluations, line of duty (LOD) investigations, and occupational and fitness for duty medical evaluations.

Perform ambulatory surgical procedures and outpatient procedures.

Order and interpret diagnostic and testing procedures including laboratory and radiological examinations.

Advise other physicians, non-physician providers, and nursing and para-professional staff on the care of patients with urgent, emergent, and non-urgent medical problems.

Provide clinical and administrative leadership to the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) team.
