Practical Nurse (Outpatient)

About the Position: This position is located with EVANS Army Community Hospital, Fort Carson, CO. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Comprehensive patient care and monitoring.

Provides practical nursing to patients in the outpatient clinic with a variety of medical conditions, performing tasks such as vital signs, ordering labs, radiology orders as well as assisting with future appointments.

Medication Administration and observation.

Prepares and delivers oral, topical and injectable forms of prescribed medications while monitoring and documenting any side effects or adverse reactions.

Collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective management of patient medications.

Assists and performs medical procedures as ordered by provider. Prepares patients for procedures such as wound care, laser treatments, minor surgeries, and biopsies. Sets up necessary equipment and maintains safe environments.

Provides patient and family education tailored to specific medical conditions, treatment plans, and recovery goals. Collaborates with healthcare team to develop and adjust care plans based on patient progress and feedback.
