Coat Check Attendant at Saint Johns Resort

Saint John's Resort is seeking friendly, professional, and guest-focused Coat Check Attendants to join our team! This position plays an important role in creating a welcoming and memorable guest experience by providing efficient, organized, and courteous coat check services during weddings, special events, and other resort functions. 

The ideal candidate is personable, dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

• Warmly greet guests and provide friendly, professional coat check services upon arrival and departure. 

• Receive, tag, organize, securely store, and retrieve guests' coats and personal belongings with care and accuracy. 

• Maintain an organized, clean, and presentable coat check area throughout each shift. 

• Ensure guests' belongings are handled responsibly and returned promptly to the correct guest. 

• Assist with managing guest traffic and maintaining efficient service during high-volume arrival and departure periods. 

• Respond to guest questions and requests with professionalism and a hospitality-focused attitude. 

• Communicate effectively with Banquet and Event leadership to ensure smooth event operations. 

• Follow all resort policies, safety procedures, and service standards. 

• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall guest experience. 

Qualifications & Requirements 

• Previous hospitality, guest service, or coat check experience preferred but not required. 

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a positive, welcoming attitude. 

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 

• Ability to remain professional, efficient, and courteous during busy event periods. 

• Dependable, punctual, and committed to providing exceptional guest service. 

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and safely handle guests' coats and personal belongings. 

• Ability to work independently while supporting the broader Banquet and Event team. 

Schedule & Availability 

Availability to work evening shifts on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays is required for this position. 

• Must have consistent availability on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings to support weddings and special events. 

• Must be able to work flexible evening hours, including late nights based on event schedules and business needs. 

• Additional availability on weekdays and holidays is preferred.
