Nurse (Clinical/Community-Occupational Health)

About the Position: This position is located in the Army Public Health Clinic within Guthrie Army Health Clinic at Fort Drum, New York. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.

Plan, direct, administer, and evaluate a segment of the serviced population as part of the Epidemiology Program.

Facilitate effective and timely communication with installation agencies, and state public health departments and military regional health centers to manage and/or report data or coordinate care within the region regarding observed outbreaks.

Plan, coordinate, and implement educational programs for community and military groups on the nature, transmission, of infectious diseases.

Case manage the Active Duty positive soldiers who require Infectious Disease appointments and conducts case contact interviews, counseling, education and support for soldiers and their families.

Provide public health nursing referral for Soldiers and families who are transferring under Permanent Change of Station (PCS) to gaining installation or component.

Provide health awareness activities to include monthly health observance information and health screening activities at community fairs and forums, using various media including print and electronic.
