About the role

Mission and Key Responsibilities:

This position is part of the Quality Engineering team within the Corporate Manufacturing & Outbound Quality Department:

  • Support all regions and plants on Quality Engineering topics.
  • Define Quality Engineering standards aligned with plant quality organizations.
  • Coordinate the deployment of these standards with regional teams.
  • Provide on-site support and coaching to plants during the deployment of standard methods and the installation of new technologies.
  • Lead cross-functional engineering working groups and Business Club activities.
  • Conduct regular Gemba walks and audits at manufacturing plants.
  • Lead the cross-site implementation of best practices, read-across actions, and lessons learned.

Required Technical Competencies:

Candidates should demonstrate:

  • A customer-focused approach to quality, with a clear understanding of what customers see and perceive.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle assembly and propulsion manufacturing plants.
  • Experience in Manufacturing Quality functions, preferably in Quality Engineering.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across functions and regions.
  • Ability to analyze, validate, and constructively challenge quality results.

This role requires candidates who are:

  • Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across functions.

Languages & Mobility:

  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for approximately 40% of working time.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in either Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering

  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Role requires strong quality expertise, effective corss-functional collaboration, and the ability to operate successfully in an international environment
  • Senior Plant Quality Engineer (10+ years)

  • Warranty and field issue management

  • Launch and APQP activities

  • Risk assessment and quality planning

  • Team leadership and continuous improvement projects

  • Customer interface for major quality concerns

  • Coaching quality and production teams
