About the role
Vehicle Integration Leadership
- Own the vehicle synthesis process and ensure all engineering domains work together as a complete vehicle.
- Serve as the technical bridge between chassis, powertrain, body, interior, and electrical organizations.
- Drive cross-functional alignment from concept through production launch.
Vehicle Attribute Management
- Define and manage vehicle-level targets including:
- Mass
- Stiffness
- Aerodynamics
- Center of gravity
- Ride and handling
- Acceleration
- Braking
- NVH
- Durability
- Safety
- Customer comfort and satisfaction
- Balance competing requirements to achieve the best overall vehicle performance.
Development & Validation
- Lead concept development, prototype builds, testing, and final vehicle validation.
- Guide integration reviews, design reviews, and milestone assessments.
- Coordinate with testing organizations and suppliers to ensure vehicle targets are achieved.
Performance Optimization
- Work closely with dynamics, powertrain, and aerodynamics teams.
- Deliver best-in-class objective and subjective vehicle performance.
- Drive competitive benchmarking and target-setting activities.
Team Leadership
- Build, mentor, and lead synthesis engineers and managers.
- Create a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and customer focus.
- Present program status and recommendations to senior leadership.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
- Minimum of 10 years of automotive development experience
- Experience in vehicle integration, vehicle dynamics, NVH, systems engineering, or similar disciplines.
- Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
- Passion for cars, trucks, motorsports, and vehicle recreation.
- Competitive benchmarking experience.
- Track testing , off road vehicle or performance-vehicle development experience is viewed positively
