Primary Purpose
Contributes to compliance programs for technical rules and standards by performing audits, maintaining control systems, and supporting risk assessments to strengthen adherence to technical rules and evolving regulatory obligations.

Frequent, independent driving to meetings, company locations, field locations and/or active incidents sites while maintaining a focus on safety and compliance with traffic laws is essential to this position and cannot reasonably be accomplished via alternative transportation. Qualifications
Required Education
Contributes to compliance programs for technical rules and standards by performing audits, maintaining control systems, and supporting risk assessments to strengthen adherence to technical rules and evolving regulatory obligations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs compliance audits and spot checks for operational, safety, and security standards, documenting findings.
- Maintains internal control systems aligned with regulatory requirements for reliability and infrastructure protection.
- Supports incident response planning for compliance programs.
- Tracks compliance metrics and prepares summaries for management review.
- Coordinates with subject matter experts to resolve minor compliance gaps and implement corrective actions.
- Prepares summaries of regulatory changes for internal distribution.
- Assists in developing mitigation plans for identified non-compliance issues.
- Participates in risk assessments for technical compliance programs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education
- Typically requires a 4 year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Typically requires 2 years of related experience.
- Ability to determine applicability of standards to routine scenarios.
- Ability to recognize technical deviations from established standards.
- Ability to support standards compliance assessments with limited supervision.
- Knowledge of core technical rules and standards applicable to specific systems or products.
- Knowledge of version control and update cycles for standards.
- Skill in interpreting technical requirements and constraints within defined boundaries.
- Skill in summarizing technical requirements for non-specialist stakeholders.
- A valid California driver's license is required.
