Document Imaging Technician

As a Document Imaging Technician at the GS-0303-5, you will be part of Retirement Services, Office of Personnel Management. The incumbent serves as a Document Imaging Technician responsible for performing the full range of records retrieval, document preparation, and document imaging operations required to convert paper retirement case files and supporting records into high-quality digital images for storage in the agency's electronic filing system/repository.

Retrieves retirement case records and individual documents from physical filing systems, including multi-tiered shelving units that require the use of ladders.

Prepares retirement case documents and supporting materials for scanning and electronic storage

Organizes prepared document batches into a sequenced scanning queue for processing.

Reviews completed scanned images to verify that digital files meet agency quality standards.

Returns processed files to their designated storage locations and updates tracking logs accordingly.
