IT Specialist (NETWORK)

This position is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. This position is for DISA White House Communications Agency at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, District of Columbia.This is an Excepted Service position and does not confer eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. If you are a current Federal Career/Career-Conditional employee, you will be placed on an Excepted appointment under 10 U.S.C. 1599f.

Guides and controls work within the Executive Technologies Directorate, ensuring teams have the necessary direction to maintain operational readiness.

Ensure system resiliency and lifecycle management by architecting and enforcing standards for high-availability across all current and emerging programs.

Demonstrate project implementation leadership by planning and coordinating network engineering and installation projects that directly support the President, Vice President, the National Security Council, and others.

Uphold technical standards ensuring all emerging programs are compatible with existing systems and employ proper security considerations.

Provide expert engineering and oversight for the entire physical communications infrastructure, from copper and fiber optic cabling to alternative transport mediums.

There is no substitution of education for the Qualifying Experience at the GG-13 grade level.
