Packer Inspector (Material Handler)

About the Position: This position is located in the US Army Sustainment Command, 407th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center on Fort Hood.

Preserve and package materials to include hazardous materials for shipment and storage.

Inspect materials to ensure compliance with government regulations.

Perform quality assurance inspections on hazardous materials.

Prepare and process all required shipping and receiving documentation.

Operate forklifts and/or other vehicles to move, load, and store materials.

Operate a flat bed or box truck up to 5 ton load capacity for the purpose of transporting supplies and equipment on and off the installation.

Knowledge to interpret general warehousing plans for stock in storage areas.

Some federal positions allow education as substitute, but this position does not.
