IT CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC/CUSTSPT)

Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS) mission is to lead the Department of Defense (DoD) in finance and accounting by ensuring the delivery of efficient, exceptional quality pay and financial information.

Develops and implements programs to ensure that systems, network, and data users are aware of, understand, and adhere to systems security policies and procedures.

Provide organizational support in the planning, development, and implementation of information system policies, procedures and tools.

Plans and delivers customer support services including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, customer assistance, and/or training in response to customer requirements.

As a technical expert, may serve as a project leader/consultant in the oversight and coordination of a staff of IT specialists involved with all phases of the life cycle of a major information system.

Advises management on the potential benefits/uses of improved procedures and efficient distribution of work.

Education is not substitutable for specialized experience at this grade level.
