Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Level III Armed Security in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor access, conduct routine patrols, respond to security-related incidents, and help to deter unwanted activity. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the technology and media location, including business areas, access points, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and document relevant security-related activities.
• Report unusual conditions, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 3 years of experience as a Military Police Officer, Corrections Officer, or Armed Security Professional, or be a Certified Law Enforcement Graduate.
• Type at least 40 words per minute.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• An Armed Guard Card or License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
