Staff Psychologist (Outpatient)
About the role
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.
The Outpatient Staff Psychologist under the Mental Health & Behavioral Science Service and duties include providing direct patient care in the Mental Health Outpatient Clinic Major Duties: Provide a full range of psycho-diagnostic services including assessment and using the most appropriate psychotherapeutic techniques in providing quality care. Perform diagnostic evaluations for Veterans with a full range of mental disorders. Provide a full range of therapeutic interventions for Veterans and other eligible patients through a variety of modalities including evidence-based practices and adjunctive interventions including but necessarily limited to individual and group psychotherapy, family therapy, consultation, rehabilitation, and psychoeducation. Consult with medical center staff on a wide variety of patient care issues. Provide clinical supervision and instruction for psychology practicum students and/or psychology interns as needed. Assist in preparation of RFPs and grant proposals, as assigned. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
