Human Resources Generalist
About the role
Symmetrio is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join the People Operations team of our client, a growing medical device company based in Littleton, MA. This is a hands-on opportunity for an HR professional looking to expand their experience across HR operations, talent acquisition, onboarding, employee support, and people-focused initiatives.
In this role, you’ll work closely with the Sr. Manager of People Operations and collaborate with employees and managers across the organization. You’ll play an important role in supporting the employee experience while helping keep day-to-day HR processes organized, efficient, and running smoothly.
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in Human Resources, excellent organizational and communication skills, and enjoys working in a role with variety. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to continue growing their HR career while gaining exposure to multiple areas of People Operations.
Location: Littleton, MA | On-site
Compensation: $70,000–$80,000 annually + competitive benefits
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Sr. Manager of People Operations to support day-to-day HR operations, programs, and employee initiatives.
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding to help create a smooth experience for new hires and departing employees.
- Serve as a resource for employees by answering general HR questions and providing guidance on company processes and procedures.
- Support Talent Acquisition activities and recruiting initiatives as needed.
- Assist with developing, implementing, and maintaining HR processes and procedures.
- Draft and distribute company-wide communications, including new hire announcements, company events, and other HR updates.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, documentation, and HR information.
- Collect and analyze HR data to identify trends, support decision-making, and help address operational challenges.
- Coordinate with employees and managers regarding travel and business visa requirements for international travel.
- Partner with employees and external immigration counsel to support documentation and administrative processes related to U.S. work visa sponsorship.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
- 2–3 years of HR administrative or People Operations experience.
- Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
- Experience with HRIS platforms and intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience supporting Talent Acquisition, onboarding/offboarding, employee records, or other HR operations.
- Experience working with immigration or employment-related documentation is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to improve HR processes and efficiency.
- PHR certification is a plus.
- Mandarin language skills are preferred but not required.
