ESSENTIAL TASKS:

  • Provide Leadership, Coordination and Organization in the sustaining of all Process and Control related equipment
  • Assist in the Incremental Improvement of our equipment and Processes and provide Coordination with Engineering as requirements dictate.
  • Assist Maintenance Associates in the Sustaining and Troubleshooting of all Process and Control related equipment
  • Provide advanced Controls and Automation Troubleshooting support as required
  • Provide Technical Support to Maintenance Associates in the Troubleshooting of hydraulic, vacuum, and pneumatic equipment and instruments
  • Develop Procedures in the Form of Task Element Sheets or equivalent for all Process and Control related Instrumentation to ensure the Maintenance associate is capable of sustaining equipment in a compliant Manner
  • Train Maintenance Associates in the Sustaining and Troubleshooting of applicable Process and Control Equipment using TES or equivalents when applicable
  • Maintain and Train Maintenance Associates in the compliant use of our Configuration Control Tools and Methodologies.
  • Provide Coordination of all Software and Firmware changes required within the Process area. This Coordination must be consistent with existing Configuration Control Procedures
  • Act as Primary Liaison between Operations and Engineering
  • Ensure compliance to Company Policy and Procedures as it relates to the Sustaining of our Process and Control Equipment. Perform calibration procedures and checks defined by Quality as part of compliance.

NON-ESSENTIAL TASKS: 

  • Work across departments and plants when required based on the needs of the business
  • Provide Technical Support outside of department as well as Internally
  • Participate in cross Plant Communications when required for the purpose of sharing Best Practices
  • Work with contractors, service technicians, engineering personnel when servicing or installing equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • High School diploma / GED
  • Associates degree in electronics or Equivalent Military Training and Experience. Must have proven knowledge of electronics, electricity, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, programmable logic controllers HMIs and computerized operator interface software.
  • Must be proficient in the integration of the above systems and practices using computer software to develop new controls as well as make modifications to existing control systems.
  • Must have the ability to work from complex drawings, schematics, sketches, parts lists and manuals.
  • Utilize advance mathematics to solve difficult problems.
  • Working knowledge of reading schematics and programmable logic control programs.
  • Assumes a major role in the day to day safety of the shop employees.
  • Maintain Compliance to all Configuration Control Policies and Procedures
  • Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Follow prescribed safety and ethics regulations.
  • Knowledge of all applicable Quality systems Procedures and Practices related to the assigned Work Center
  • Knowledge of all Safety Policies and Procedures related to the Work Areas.
