Supervisory Security Specialist (Counterintelligence)

Develops Agency-wide, counterintelligence program and policies, perform long-range studies, forecasts and analysis; provide expert advice and assistance to Agency leadership on National Security issues.

Plans work to be accomplished by the counterintelligence threat team, establishing policies, procedures and guidelines, evaluating effectiveness of team activities, and initiating improvements as required.

Provides subject matter expertise for all Agency counterintelligence threat matters. Initiates, plans, manages and conducts activities to ensure effective measures are followed in the accomplishment of DISA missions.

Provides authoritative interpretation, guidance and advice to high-ranking management officials, program and functional specialists, and contractors.

Serves as a key member on permanent or ad-hoc interagency committees and groups to identify program requirements and/or problems of common interest, and to review, analyze, and make recommendations on policies, procedures, and practices.

There is no substitution of education for specialized experience at the GS-14 grade level.
