About the role

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position serves as an Engineering Technician within the Work Management Branch of the Business Operations and Integration Division (BOID), Directorate of Public Works (DPW), USAG Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG).

Screens and triages facility service orders in ARMA and FMS, validating real property data, confirming customer eligibility, and assigning Priority 1 emergency, Priority 2 urgent, or Priority 3 routine responses.

Tracks, schedules, and monitors the lifecycle execution of Demand Maintenance Orders (DMOs) and Preventative Maintenance Orders (PMOs) within FMS and GFEBS from initial customer receipt through field dispatch, shop completion, and formal closeout.

Performs on-site technical verifications and field assessments of reported facility maintenance deficiencies, validating work descriptions, material requirements, and distinguishing between routine in-house shop work and Individual Job Orders.

Acts as the primary BOID customer advocate and liaison, supporting mission partners and Facility Managers by resolving service order issues, removing delivery obstacles, and updating stakeholders on repair progress and schedule changes.

Reconciles work order backlogs and produces performance reports in FMS and GFEBS, analyzing completion timelines, spotting recurring equipment issues, and delivering actionable maintenance metrics to leadership.
