Clinical Psychologist

About the Position: This position is located Naval Medical Center San Diego. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients who exhibit evidence the full range of disorders described in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5).

Conduct psychological assessment of patients with a wide variety of known or suspected psychological disorders that affect intellectual, cognitive, behavioral or emotional functioning

Conduct individual and group short-term therapy sessions, including psychoeducational sessions, using expert knowledge and therapeutic techniques.

Function as an active member of the training faculty providing development, oversight and teaching of classes.

Provide oversight and expert direction to nurse providers, unlicensed psychology interns, psychiatry residents, and paraprofessionals.
