About the role

PURPOSE/RESPONSIBILITY: As part of a team, set up, operate, or assist in the operation of woodworking machines to achieve production goals. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Pull parts based on ticket/order.
• Employee must be able to see different characteristics in wood products.
• Apply glue as directed by Standard Work and One Point Lesson.
• Align and assemble parts.
• Utilize tools/gauges to complete quality checks.
• Place assembled doors and drawer fronts in clamp.
• Set up and operate clamp for various products.
• Adjust clamp settings.
• Work together with team to meet production requirements.
• Required to speak and communicate with other employees.
• Maintain clean work environment to prevent glue from damaging parts.
• Demonstrate alignment with the CITE principles.
• Must be able to understand and follow general safety instructions for a manufacturing environment and any specific safety instructions for this position.
• Complete cross-training requirements to be able to perform the essential functions of positions in client / provider departments.
• Be present for regularly scheduled shift work. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.

Education, Experience and Skills
• High school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED) is preferred.
• Willing to work overtime with little, or no notice. Overtime and weekend work may be required with same day notice.
• Ability to function independently without direct supervision and as part of a team.

Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common business documents such as but not limited to production reports, scheduling reports, standard work documents, etc.   Ability to listen and communicate effectively with co-workers.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.  Other mathematical skills may be required.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw reasonable conclusions through critical thinking skills.
