HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (LER)

You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (LER) in the Business and Strategic Planning Office (1200), Business Operations Division (KA1220) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

You will provide input on decisions, which have an impact on overall HR policy at serviced commands.

You will serve as consultant to management on all ER (Employee Relations)/LR (Labor Relations) issues with overall responsibility for resolving controversial, complex problems.

You will provide authoritative technical assistance and solutions to problems/issues.

You will coordinate and/or prepare responses to external program review findings and recommendations regarding sensitive issues.

You will develop agreements between management and labor organizations, alternative dispute resolutions, contract negotiations, arbitration hearings, unfair labor practice complaints, etc.

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree or Successful completion of 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or Possession of a LL.B. or J.D., if related or A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
