Team Lead- Project Accounting

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
• A minimum of 5 years' experience required.
• 4 years' progressive experience in a related field required
• 6 years' progressive experience in a related field is preferred
• Previous management/leadership experience preferred
• Experience recruiting/scaling a finance team, interviewing, performing evaluations and having difficult conversations preferred
• Experience with US and non-US multinationals preferred
• Exposure to information technology industry is a plus
• A strong team player with evidence of professional maturity, self-confidence and someone willing to lend support and become involved in the details of the business required.
• Comfortable working in an open and highly interactive, fast-paced, communicative culture required.
• Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to professionally communicate at all levels of the business and ability to interface effectively across multiple company departments with strong diplomacy skills required.
• Strong attention to detail and work ethic required.

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $82,000 to $102,500 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.

What will you be doing? 

The Project Accounting Team Lead reports to the Revenue Accounting Manager.  This position will support all levels of the FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) team and is responsible for communicating any events or activities that may impact the financial results of the business unit. The Project Accounting Team Lead will oversee the Accountant I staff and relevant tasks, to ensure accounting is recorded in accordance with GAAP.
Job Responsibilities:

• Supervises the activity of the Project Accountant I staff
• Ensures all Empower Project Accounting requests are completed timely and accurately
• Reviews and analyzes account reconciliations that relate to the services business and summarizes the risk held up on the balance sheet to management
• Assists with training new employees and cross-training other departments on Finance initiatives
• Reviews profitability reports for accuracy and researches issues as needed
• Ensures accounting accuracy of all services revenue transactions, including HW Transfers and Enterprise Agreements
• Reconciles and/or reviews intercompany services activity to ensure proper GP recognition and balance sheet accuracy
• Prepares, reviews and reconciles services balance sheet accounts, including Strategic Resource Rebates, Hardware Margin Transfers, and Enterprise Agreements
• Supports month-end and year-end close, including financial statement tie-out
• Assists with front-end setup process to ensure accounting is accurate
• Coordinates with Project Management Organization to research and resolve project issues
• Communicates proactively with FP&A on financial results and balance sheet risk
• Understands and applies accounting guidance to determine appropriate project set up, journal entries and account reconciliations in compliance with WWT Financial Policies and GAAP
• Articulates professionally to upper management in support of the year-end audit
• Initiates change proactively and process improvement within your job function, as well as cross-functionally
