About the role

The Global Premium Infotainment Top Hat Execution Manager is responsible for leading the execution, integration, validation, launch readiness, and lifecycle management of Premium Infotainment Radio systems across global vehicle programs.

This position leads a team of R1H Radio Design Release Engineers (DREs) and serves as the primary engineering interface between Product Development, Validation, Vehicle Integration, Quality, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Program Management, and supplier partners to ensure delivery of high-quality infotainment solutions that meet program objectives for quality, performance, functionality, timing, cost, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a global team of Design Release Engineers (DREs), building technical and business skillsets while driving accountability and execution excellence.
  • Balance engineering resources across vehicle programs, launches, quality initiatives, and strategic projects.
  • Own end-to-end execution of Premium Infotainment Radio systems from concept through launch, production, and warranty resolution.
  • Ensure achievement of quality, timing, cost, functionality, performance, and customer satisfaction objectives.
  • Coordinate software, hardware, validation, quality, and vehicle integration activities across global vehicle programs.
  • Lead software integration planning, release readiness activities, validation checkpoints, and launch execution reviews.
  • Drive robust, quality-focused solutions that meet program objectives and customer expectations.
  • Ensure technical integrity, system performance, and seamless integration within the broader vehicle ecosystem, including connectivity, HMI, mobile device integration, cloud services, ADAS interfaces, and vehicle ECUs.
  • Drive component commonality, software reuse, standardization, and consistency across vehicle programs where applicable.
  • Develop and deploy engineering best practices, lessons learned, prevention-of-recurrence actions, and execution standards.
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking activities and identify opportunities for product and process improvements.
  • Develop, review, and approve DFMEAs, DVP&Rs, validation plans, quality gate assessments, and engineering deliverables.
  • Ensure robust component-level and vehicle-level validation activities are completed and support launch readiness requirements.
  • Analyze warranty, IQS, QFS, field performance, and Voice of Customer data to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and issue resolution activities for launch and field concerns.
  • Lead engineering engagement with Tier-1 suppliers and software partners supporting infotainment development.
  • Ensure suppliers meet technical requirements, quality objectives, validation commitments, and program milestones.
  • Drive supplier accountability through APQP reviews, launch readiness assessments, technical reviews, and executive escalation processes.
  • Support supplier sourcing decisions, technical evaluations, and supplier performance management activities.
  • Maintain strategic relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and partner organizations to support successful program execution.
  • Support executive reviews through development of program status reporting, risk assessments, issue management, and recovery plans.
  • Drive innovation and implementation strategies to improve infotainment quality, performance, reliability, and customer experience.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Software, Systems, Mechatronics, or related field)
  • Minimum of 8 years of automotive product development experience within complex, multi-program environments
  • Minimum of 3 years of technical, project, program, or people leadership experience
  • Experience leading Design Release Engineers (DREs), Design Leads, and supplier engineering teams
  • Experience owning infotainment, radio, connectivity, audio, software-defined vehicle, or related electronic vehicle systems across multiple vehicle programs
  • End-to-end ownership of product development from concept through launch, production, and warranty resolution
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, systems engineering, requirements management, validation processes, release management, and vehicle integration
  • Direct experience developing or approving DFMEAs, DVP&Rs, validation plans, APQP deliverables, PPAP activities, and launch readiness assessments
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional execution involving Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Program Management, Validation, and Supplier organizations
  • Experience driving warranty reduction, customer satisfaction improvements, root cause investigations, and corrective action implementation
  • Ability to operate with executive visibility and make effective decisions in fast-paced, ambiguous environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering or MBA
  • Previous experience as Engineering Manager, Lead DRE, Project Engineer, Chief Engineer, or Technical Program Manager
  • Experience with Premium Infotainment systems, Android-based infotainment platforms, connectivity technologies, OTA software deployment, cloud services, and mobile device integration
  • Knowledge of Stellantis vehicle platforms, engineering standards, software release processes, and global development methodologies
  • Experience supporting global vehicle programs and multi-region engineering organizations
