Supervisory Nurse (Outpatient Clinical Nurse Supervisor)
About the role
This position serves as the Supervisory Nurse (Outpatient Clinical Nurse Supervisor) at IHS Santa Fe Service Unit in Santa Fe, NM. The incumbent provides leadership and supervision for nursing and support staff and coordinates the delivery of outpatient Primary Care services to ensure continuity of comprehensive patient care. This position reports to the Chief Nurse Executive of the Santa Fe Service Unit. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).

Supervises assigned nursing and support staff, including assigning work, evaluating performance, addressing employee issues, and supporting staff development. Ensures staff maintain required licensure, certifications, clinical competencies, and training requirements. Promotes quality nursing practice through policy development, quality improvement, infection prevention, patient safety, and compliance activities. Provides professional nursing care and clinical oversight to support outpatient services during staffing shortages or increased patient volume.
